Privacy & your game data

This notice explains what the current game code does with your information. Political views can be sensitive. You can play without creating a game account, entering your name, or sending us your answers.

Educational game purposes

This project is designed for educational game purposes. It encourages reflection on political values and can help you prepare questions when considering how to vote. A character match does not tell you which candidate or party to choose. Compare current policies and reliable sources before making your own voting decision.

The game does not build a voter profile on a server or send your answers to political campaigns.

Answers and political coordinates

Your selected character, responses and calculated coordinates are processed inside your browser. The game code does not send them to an application server, advertising network, analytics service or public leaderboard. There is no form for submitting political opinions or other personal information.

Saved progress on this device

The game uses local storage under pcg-v2 so you can resume or edit your answers. These records remain until you delete them, clear site data, or the browser removes them. They are not protected by a separate game password; another person using the same browser profile may see your saved game.

The control deletes current and previous game-save keys on this device. It does not erase hosting logs, data held by external sites, or copies you previously shared.

Sharing and downloads

Sharing happens only when you choose Share. Your device’s share sheet or clipboard receives the result text. Download builds an SVG result card on your device. Neither feature creates a public profile or uploads answers to the game. Anyone you share a result with can keep their copy.

Hosting and ordinary web requests

The website is hosted using ChatGPT Sites. The hosting provider may process IP addresses, browser details, access logs and security-related cookies or identifiers according to its own policies. The publisher cannot use this notice to set that provider’s retention periods. See the hosting provider’s privacy information.

Fonts, character images and the logo are served locally from this website. The game no longer requests fonts from Google Fonts. There are no game-installed analytics tags, advertising tags, tracking pixels or visitor-profiling scripts.

Book links and affiliate referrals

Book links open Amazon only when clicked. If the publisher configures a valid Associates ID, the destination link includes that referral ID so Amazon can attribute eligible purchases. A referral ID identifies the publisher, not your political answers. Your answers and character score are not included in the Amazon link. No Amazon tracking script is embedded in the game.

Amazon may then process your visit, cookies, purchases and account data under its own privacy notice. The game does not receive your payment-card details or individual order records. Affiliate relationships are disclosed next to the book suggestions when enabled.

Creator support and other external sites

The optional support button opens the public creator page the creator’s Buy Me a Coffee page. Buy Me a Coffee uses Stripe for its payment services. Information you enter there, including payment, contact or supporter-message details, is handled under those providers’ terms and privacy notices. The game does not collect payment-card or bank details and does not send your political answers or coordinates to the support page. Book-source and licensing links also lead to external services with their own policies.

Google Search and search visibility

The public site permits search-engine crawling. Crawlers may fetch public pages, images and the sitemap. The game does not expose visitor answers in those pages. Search Console verification, if configured by the owner, is a site-ownership record and does not itself add visitor analytics to this game.

Your choices

You can erase saved progress, play in a separate browser profile, avoid external links, and use the game without sharing a result. Browser settings can clear local data and manage cookies. Requests about hosting-provider data should be made through the provider’s privacy channels.

Changes

This notice must be updated if the publisher adds accounts, forms, server-side answer storage, advertising, analytics or new integrations. It describes this release; it is not a guarantee of legal compliance in every jurisdiction.
